We truly believe government action is not the whole answer to the ever-present crisis facing our children and communities. Behavior can be regulated but Morals cannot be legislated! The law alone cannot save our children and communities, nor should they act alone. We must actively participate in the solution.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.
Now is the accepted time for immediate change, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.
One generation plants a tree so another may get the shade! We teach our kids that “Your either part of the problem or part of the solution!” Choose one!
We are choosing to get all of our family and friends together and say, " Look let's all give $5 or whatever you can give to this solution!"
We want to help our kids and their communities.
The proceeds will go towards building a needed community center in Baltimore City/New Orleans!
Far too often we leave things that need to be done, pass them up, with the thought others can do it. Why wait for others to do something when you can do it yourself? It is up to us to effect/affect change!
